It's based on Pulse 87 in New York City. If all goes well, it should launch by June 1st.

They've also added a talk show for 3 hours Monday-Thursday from 9 to Midnight now with Karel.Lkeller said:The San Francisco Bay Area has had a dance station for at least a couple of years now - Energy 92.7. It has a loyal following, but it's a very small following - the station has very low ratings despite the fact that it's marketed toward the Bay Area's large gay community, and has a popular gay morning team.
As far as I can tell, Energy has not caused any other stations to add dance music to their play lists.
Where is the transmitter in the San Fernando Valley?DavidEduardo said:Tony Santiago said:http://megamediagroup.ir.stockpr.com/news/detail/161

KSFV, the LA area signal, is the 87.75 audio of a Channel 6 LPTV. I can't get it at the top of a 25 story building in Glendale...
My Acura starts with 87.7. All of my home radios include 87.7.AM FM listener said:Ha. That's funny. I think most radios end at 88.1. Maybe 108.3 will switch to dance, too.![]()

So from the way it looks KSFV and all other LPTV stations in the Southland will have the analog airwaves all to themselves...for now.

After KWHY, KMEX, KVEA, KAZA, and KFTR are forced to bolt in June all that is left is Almavision and fringe preach stations.
I don't speak for anyone other than myself but I find little joy being stuck with God Talk 24/7.
LPs are going the course of the dodo bird.
Also, if KSFV is the Radio Guadalupe station on 87.7 their signal barely gets anywhere. In that respect, Indie 103.1 had better penetration for comparison.

Actually I got a pretty good signal at LAX for 87.7fm. I got it all the way out here in the IE, parts of Rancho cucamonga, ontario and some parts of Fontana. 103.1 doesn't reach this area.
David at USC said:R&R is reporting that Mega Media Group plans to expand its Pulse 87 dance brand from New York -- where it broadcasts from the channel 6 TV frequency -- to new leased channel 6 TV frequencies in Los Angeles (KSFV-CA) and Chicago (WLFM-LP) with programming to commence on June 1.
