Lots of Changes at Mix 97 and 94.3 WKXP

Brian Jones is leaving the Morning Mix with Bob Miller. According to the website, a girl name Shelly Chase is taking over co-host/news and information duties for the morning. Brian Jones and his wife is having another baby. The Morning Mix will also now start at 5am and end at 9, and Suzy Garcia will be on from 9am-3pm. Plus, Brian will be doing afternoon news at Mix 97 and WPDH. Also, on the web page, it says they will be playing 50 minutes of music each hour from 9am-5pm.

I went to visit kicks943.com and it said 94.3 The Wolf. New station name.

Pretty interesting changes.

There's the new website. Still country, but I have a feeling it's not staying that way. Why else would they change the name?

I heard Randy Turner announce these changes upon his sign off on Friday. In addition to the changes mentioned here he said Brian will be “revamping our corporate news department”. This is Interesting since they, like the other clusters don’t have a real news department anymore, with the AM stations on satellite 24/7 and the FM stations doing only headlines.I wonder what it could mean if anything.
