will this be health related or politics? (watch out for those spores)

mred, it's a change in format, we are laying off the health shows, unless of course the topic is needed (IE there killing us all with peanuts for the all mighty dollar). Mostly Politics, Science and Bizarr. We just where synidcated (in one week with the format change get that one). I will announce stations here when I get more information.

:)Lou Epton was always very nice to me and was very encouraging when I first got in the business. As most of you know, that's rare in radio. He's a very nice man, and I wish him nothing but the best.

I have always liked Lou Epton. Long before anyone heard of Alex Jones, Lou was pioneering talk about conspiracy theory related subjects. I remember what a buzz there was on his night show on AM 840 circa 1996-97. I have never seen paid programming pull numbers like that before. His ratings were so good that ARS put him on the payroll when they took over the station. But for some reason the quality of his show dropped off once he stopped buying the time. I'm not sure if they told him what he could and could not talk about.

I'm glad Lou will be getting away from health related topics, they generally don't make for interesting radio. That's what he mostly seemed to talk about when he was on KLAV. I'm a daily vitamin user myself but whenever I hear KDWN play one of those Dr Jonathan Greenhut infomercials I instantly tune out, from the very second I hear the theme music. The one vitamin related topic that would capture my interest is the talk about the government trying to ban B6.

I like the informercials, especially the colon cleanse ones. I like it when they take "callers" without giving out phone numbers. "We have Joe on line one."
"will this product help with my lumbago?" "Great question! glad you called..."
I wish they would bring back Geritol.
