Louie Anderson, 68

Wow, I just read an article a few days ago that said he'd checked into a Vegas hospital to get further treatment for his illness. Louie was never what many would consider a major star, and was known mainly for bit parts or playing characters on secondary networks like FX, and of course, for his standup - but it seems he's been around forever and was definitely a household name for decades. I still recall seeing him make a fair amount of appearances on late night talk shows beginning in the 1980s, which is when he first came into the public eye.

This hits me hard - saw him perform at the Central WA State Fair in 2014. He was a funny guy. May he RIP, condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.
