Congrats to Louie on getting a job. Do you think they will bring the station back to real CHR? let's hope. Otherwise it's a waste to get Louie.

If you look at the past couple week's worth of Citadel's activities, they are dumping very talented people in major markets for reasons of money only. Places like Binghamton & WB & Harrisburg & Syracuse are going to wind up withKenroberts said:MACK184 said:He'll be gone as soon the Citadel's budget axe lands in Bingo-Town.
That is a consideration or they will get rid of others to keep him. I am thinking he is a waste on WILD. Bad signal, the programming has been lame for the past year or so. They are spending a lot of money and probably will not get the return.
I'm sure there will be plenty of rumours, and it does seem that Citadel/ABC is pushing the Shannon Oldies Channel. Right now, I think virtually anything is possible. And it won't be the local GM's who are to blame. They'll be given 3 rotten choices by corporate to make and forced to pick one for every station. You might see a morning show at every station which will be done by the station PD and then everything else will be on automatic. Entercom did that awhile ago in a number of markets. No matter what they do, it most likely won't be very pretty. Their stock is in the tank, and they owe a lot of money on the ABC deal. They'll be making a lot of desperate decisions. I feel sorry for people like Randy/Don, Neely, John D and some of the others who have soldiered along all these years. I'm sure they're not having much fun right now.cowabunga said:Speaking of that, what's this story going around Bingo that the Mighty and Legendary WAAL is going to be flipped to Scott Shannon's True Oldies?! That's an ABC Satellite format. In comes the Starguide, out goes the staff?
