Louisville Presets

My sister lives in Louisville and she had me program stations for that area on her car stereo when she moved there just last year, cause she wasn't familiar with the radio dial there. I put in these stations based on her music taste... (1) 98.9 (2) 99.7 (3) 100.5-which sucks now because they've deviated so much from their original format (4) 97.5 (5) 103.1 (6) 96.5 (7) 104.3-for its previous format of hip-hop (8) 102.3 (9) 106.9 (10) 98.3

1) 89.3 7)91.9

2) 90.5 8)103.7

3)101.7 9)104.9

4)104.3 10)94.7

5)103.1 11)103.9

6)106.9 12)107.7

And for the AM:

1)700 7)550

2)840 8)750

3)680 9)1490

4)900 10)970

5)1080 11)1450

6)1600 12)1570

Damn, that's more presets than I thought I had!

Bengalsfan,

Where is 103.7?

Thanks.

The only one I can think of is 103.7 in Frankfort... but it really doesn't reach into Louisville unless you are on the county line ;)

I lived in Louisville from 1983-86. When I first moved there, my car had a factory installed radio with five preset buttons. My FM choices were:

94.5 WLAP (Lexington): AC
99.7 WKJJ (Majic 100 FM): AC
101.7 WJYL: AC, soon to move to Top 40
102.3 WLRS: AOR
103.1 WRKA: AC

My AM presets were:

550 WKRC (Cincinnati): AC
700 WLW (Cincinnati): Full service AC
790 WAKY: Oldies
840 WHAS: Full service AC, leaning almost to Top 40 when they played music
970 WAVG: AC

By the time I left in '86, the FM presets were 94.5, 99.7 (by then WDJX), 101.7 (flipped to urban in '84), 102.3 (flipped to Top 40 by '84-'85), 103.1. The AM presets stayed pretty much unchanged.

Yes, that would be WSTV in Frankfort. And like Greg said, I do LOTS of traveling. :D

And if each of my buttons had five presets, it still wouldn't be enough for me. :-\
