Louisville Summer Book

It looks like this Message Board has just about died.

In case there's anybody left still looking at it, here's a link to the new, just-released Louisville Summer Nielsen book:

- We have the whole city on this book... which is nice...
- Congrats to WGZB for going #1 over WHAS! WHAS is sliding almost every book. It's their extra long stop sets and ED spots! when I do listen, I about know when they are back to programming and when an ED spot will run (usually before the news). I haven't had the time, but I keep telling myself I want to put a stop watch on the number of minutes of programming vs minutes of spots...
- WQNU jumped up too...
- And poor 100.5 WLGX .. just blow it up...
- everybody else is either up or down a half point

On a slightly different topic. has anyone noticed that iHeart has put iHeart 70's Radio on 93.1 HD-2??? Man I wish I had an HD radio!!! I was streaming it last week and heard the WTFX-HD2 Clarksville ID and about sh&*T my pants!

Oh nice with the HD2 channel. Most of the HD2 iHeartRadio stations here have a FX Translator companion here in Lexington. What is on the other HD2 stations there?

They used to have an alternative rock station (stuff like Kings of Leon, Hozier, Imagine Dragons, etc.) on there back when 93.1 was The Fox, WQMF had (or maybe still does, I haven't checked my HD radio lately) a 70s/80s station (and before that, Slippery When Wet, hair/heavy metal band station), WNRW had some party/dance station, and of course WLGX has K-LOVE on theirs. WAMZ probably has something too, but I can't recall off top of my head.

If I recall, they had some permits for translators for these HD2 stations, and it seems they ended up getting location changes for all of them to places like Lexington. So it seems they're not interested in doing any of that here, which is understandable since they're having a hard enough time with some of their HD1 stations. It seems these HD2 stations mostly just exist as a legal loophole to put these things on the iHeartRadio app

How long has it been since either WHAS or WAMZ wasn't #1 12+ in Louisville?

HAS is truly a HAS-been. They may never be #1 again. Yes, they are still #2 in the 12+ numbers, but 25-54 they are 9th or 10th.

That means the audience that got them to #2 are primarily age 56 and up. Their 25-54 numbers have all got to be on the older end and every year those numbers will decrease as the 54 year olds have birthdays and the 65 year olds die off. They are truly screwed.
