Thanks for the info Louisville Rocker! Will it be simulcast on 1450am? Will it be ESPN? Can you give us an exact date?
1450 independent format. Some form of secular/mainstream talk. Dates?-no for sure, sometime within the next few days though.

Sounds like the satellite dish was blown out of whack by the wind last night...heard the morning show on beyond it's normal time apologizing for the lack of national programming...

The TICKET WAS down. I noticed it around 9 pm last night (just after the storm) and it was still out at 7 am. FM was back up around 8 am... not sure when 1450 came back.

LOL.... Maybe the studio is still in Seymour for now. I still think it sucks that South Central Indiana lost the only good local country station they had. But what sucks worse is that they flipped it the first time from CHR-Z-93.7 in 1991, that was a good Rock Based CHR format.
That format change made me unhappy too...not only as the one who had to implement the technical changes, but as a listener. Rock Based CHR was my last hope of remaining a CHR listener. For satellite delivered radio, that was a very good product. Wasn't there a jock on there name Monty Foster who went by Mo-Fo for short?Mid West Clubber said:LOL.... Someone should use the open frequency of 93.7 in Seymore, and bring Z-93.7 back as a Low Power Part 15 network. Didnt alot of the local conservatives protest against Z-93.7 when they first started. It is a conservative Farm Town, more so back then, then now. The only choice for CHR in Seymore is to listen to DJX and ZKF, both stations only have a moderate to weak signal in the area. Plus, the area has no Rock station, they are too far south for the Indy Rock stations, and too far north for the Louisville ones. You used to get THE FOX in Seymore when they were on 100.5, but even Louie Fm is a tough catch there now, because of 100.3 in Columbus.

It would be next to impossible to drop a 93.7 in there now with 93.9 in Louisville. Radio stations not only have to protect co-channels, but 1st and 2nd adjacent channels, too.

It's not just that. There's also a proposed upgrade for 93.9 in Indy. I believe that upgrade will also force WPFR in Terre Haute to move to 93.7. WQKC 93.7 was also short-spaced to WFCJ 93.7 just outside of Dayton in the first place. Between WQKC, WWFT, WFCJ and WPFR, 93.7 has pretty well been squeezed out of Seymour.
