Love 100...Will it be Movin'?

With Sandusky's KLSY in Seattle, Emmis' KZLA in La La Land, and at 11 am this morning (9/8), Bonneville's WRVR (The River) flipping to the Movin' format, what are the chances that Bonneville will do that to WILV (Love FM)? Holla back, please.

IMO...pretty good. They lean that way in some respects....seems like the most likely candidate in Chicago to me. It is the "flavor of the month" format.

Has anyone else heard the "movin" demo? I like the idea of the format....stands out against a modern AC like the mix and a whatever ac like the Lite. Maybe it can catch parts of hispanic/urban listeners?

The drawback I see is....what if the "movin" currents stop coming? seems like a really narrow format

And the irony is that it is not a Bonneville station (SLC is Bonnies' homebase).

This is just another flavor of the week like Jack FM. Jockless. Weird variety. Does great in 1 market and everybody starts copying.

The format itself is not new however. Its been done before.

I can see them doing this they have been leaning toward the more dance oriented music lately. I know they have Chris Shebel over there so hopefully they will do the Movin format a little differently here, but that maybe wishful thinking on my part

Yeah, 100.3 is pretty much the Movin' format with a stupid name.

100.3 done right, however, would kick ass. They would absolutely kill B96. Bring in poeple like Frankie Hollywood, Jeffrey T, Fred Winston, and other heritage jocks, along with a Chicago heritage dance station, and there is no telling how well that station would do

Fred Winston on a dance station? Am I hearing that right?

I have a hard time seeing Jeffro and Fred on the same station

BTW- Movin is a far stretch from dance....

My memory is fuzzy, but weren't Jeffro and Fred *already on* the same station once?

Love FM is better than the STL version of "Movin'" IMO. I think they need to stick with what they got before they try anything like what I heard.

How soon we forget. can anyone say the 80's Channel? Jeffro was on right after Fred.

L2L

Love FM should go back to Light Rock. Now would be the perfect time with 93.9 playing all kinds of stupid pop and hip hop music like Justin Timberlake Sexyback.
