LOVE-fms Saturday Night Dance Party

I hear it did well in the last book...A small, but nice increase...Not sure of the numbers, but I think JM3 has figured it out............

Everyone bags on LOVE fm, but why? I bet its those who haven't checked them out since the originally launched. It has been tweeked a lot and is MUCH better now. And amen on the props to the mix master there. I enjoy it.

When they made the move from LOVE Songs, they should have changed the name of the station. Love means love...not disco!!! Branding 101...this station isn't well branded pure and simple! The moniker has to speak to who they are.

They should have gone Movin' or Groovin' or somthing that ID's what they are. This station will never go anywhere until then.

I Think that slogan works..."The songs you Love". I am not too crazy about Motown, but for those who do, it works well......

I also noticed they have the format(listed in arbitron) "R&B oldies" and they play VERY LITTLE "R&B"........

They have done major tweaks to the format and its alot better....The mixshow is the best I have heard in a LOOOONG time....He plays EVERYTHING and it adds to the excitement...Rotation stuff, Club Classics, Disco, 80s Dance, & House-its a GREAT COMBO....

JM3's mixing skills are great! The songs are not played too long, and you get a decent feel of the song....Plus they keep the flow of the show going....I find myself going: "WOW how did he do that?" instead of: "WTF is he doing? Why did he play that?". My only gripe is there is no announcer chiming in hyping up the show(before commercial break) or at least playing "call ins" saying they love the show......

Hats off to the programming department to get a dance show from a CHICAGO perspective and FINALLY play CLUB HITS that a 40 year old adult can enjoy.....
