'Loveline' radio show to end after 33 years

After being on the radio airwaves for more than 30 years, “Loveline” will be ending next Thursday, Dr. Drew Pinsky announced Thursday.

Pinsky, who goes by “Dr. Drew” as host of the sex and relationship advice program, made the announcement during his weekly appearance on KROQ’s morning Kevin and Bean program.

Adam Carolla, who co-hosted the program with Pinsky for 11 years, will be the final co-host on Thursday, April 28.

During his announcement, Pinsky admitted the show had become an unsustainable business model and that he had been hosting for free for at least “a couple of years.”

The news comes just weeks after Pinsky’s latest co-host, Mike Catherwood, announced he would be leaving the show.
