Low power Atlanta station sells for $5.2+ million

So much for low power stations not being worth much. https://tvnewscheck.com/top-news/business/article/station-trading-roundup-2-deals-5262500/ The purchaser (of WANN channel 32) is a much larger company (buying stations in top markets left and right) with hopes of becoming a cord cutting, OTA independent powerhouse. It may take a while to see results in programming on WANN, but within a year I think Atlanta will see the UPGRADE more clearly. The buyer seem to be getting into the game a little late (lots of sub-channel competition) but don't count them out!

Seeing as how WGTA's OTA footprint on channel 32 is mainly northeast Georgia (their footprint in Atlanta proper is cable/satellite for the largest part), WANN would certainly have a chance to grow. Their main obstacle would be programming, which would consign them to carry a diginet like WGTA does.

They are coming in loud and clear in East central DeKalb (stick is on top of the tallest building in Atlanta). I'd like to see them put Me-TV Plus on WANN and Heroes & Icons too. Rewind TV (sister network to Antenna TV) would be a hot add also. WANN was a better station a few years ago and has gone down hill (in programming) ever since.
