Low power FM move from Trenton to Camden

I'm not sure if anyone saw this article on radio insight.com about WEMG trying to move a low power FM from Trenton to Camden. Is this even possible? I thought there is no space on the FM band especially on the space they are going for 105.7

I would like to see this happen because I like to listen to Spanish music once in a while but I don't see this happening.

Here is the link to the article.
Can someone with real Engineering knowledge give some input to this interesting topic.

Thanks.

I think they can..... Look what happen with cumulus in New York moving the 103.9fm from westchester to the Bronx the space is between Clear Chanbel KTU & Q104 so they going to approved it lol

This is not a LPFM, which would not be allowed to rebroadcast a commercial signal, let alone rebroadcast at all. This is a translator, which does just that. In this case, the Rules allow for an AM station to rebroadcast on an FM translator, as long as the translator's 60 dBu signal does not exceed the coverage of the AM station's 2 mV/m signal.

That's pushing 30 miles, but you can get away with it using what is called a "Matoon waiver" if you are rebroadcasting an AM
