Low Power FM's & Class D's threatened, again!

Your Federal Communications Commission, yes, that's the one you pay your taxes to, is all set to make it easier for the Comercial Broadcasters to migrate from rural and suburban areas into the well-served urbanized centers. They just closed the comment period for their docket 05-210.

So basically, they are entertaining comments about making these rural to urban moves easier by using a minor change process. This would not allow public comment, and would not allow any counter-proposals. This is totally against the Communications Act of 1934. The Docket is 05-210, and will have an effect on new and existing LPFM and Class D stations, as these community stations will likely go aff the air, even as the FCC says they believe in Broadcast localism.
If you want to make a difference, please call your Congressman and tell them the FCC will be making a big mistake if this goes through. Commerical interests do not trump the will of the American people. We must fignt back, and fight back hard, because this is your only chance at preserving your community LPFM station.
