Lowest power AM Station from the greatest distance away?

For me, I have heard:

WJML 1110 Petoskey, Michigan with its 10 watts at night (268 Miles)
WRPQ 740 Baraboo, Wisconsin with its 6 watts pre-sunrise (114 Miles)

For me over land the station on 1640 in Vallejo, Ca when they first signed on the Ex-band. They were running 1,000 watts and the distance--1,840 miles.
When I was in Hawaii I picked it up along with a few other California ex banders at a farther distance over water.

Perhaps KXOL, Salt Lake City on 1660 shortly after they came on. This was in a hotel room in Oak Lawn, IL. 1kw nighttime power. Not sure of the distance, but I'm going to guess around 1,400 miles.

Of course, they could have "forgotten" to power down that night....in which case this would've been no big deal. (This was about 5am central on a weekday morning)

AFRTS Ramey Puerto Rico, 50 watts 780
KIKI Honolulu 250 watts 830

Both from Cleveland, Ohio.

I assume WBBM & WCCO were off the air.

Yes, as most stations were on Monday morning in that era.

Other Monday morning catches included the regular schedule of 10 kw Radio Imparcial from Uruguay on 1090, Rotorua, NZ on 1000 with 10kw and things like Paradise, CA on 930 and Hemet, CA on 1320 and Pomona on 1600, all 500 watts. Furthest Class IV was 1450 KTIP in Porterville, CA:

That might be a record.
The guy even sent the station a cassette recording of it. And this station was live 24/7 at the time with an alarm clock that went off 1 minute before power change, so it's certain that the power was reduced on time. I'd forgotten about this until I saw this post.

Amazing.

Picked up WVLN 740 Olney, IL at about 4:20 a.m. this morning. WVLN has night light power (7 watts!) overnight, a distance of about 246 miles for my location. They had a commercial for D & S Glass, with the 618 Area Code given. Also, I was hearing an ESPN Station on 740, and the only one on the radio-locator list with Sports (and checking each Sports station websites) is KCMC in Texarkana, TX.

That direction might make sense considering the time of year. Toronto is already in daylight about that time.

Exactly. That would be 5:20 Toronto time, and sunrise is at 5:15 this time of year.

I'll request one...

For me, from Charleston, SC, 1000 watt directional KQPN 730 from West Memphis, AR (more than 610 miles). This station cuts through the mostly staticy 730 most nights.

During the daytime, WPUL South Daytona, FL, 1590, 1000 watts, 255 miles.
