LPFM On Route 9 Near Howell?

>>Saw a small tower with what looked like a 2 bay FM antenna on Route 9 Northbound north of Howell. Anyone know anything?

Is this the same tower that Sal Anthony, the former owner of WCNJ in Hazlet was broadcasting his "WZVU" pirate station from? About 10 or 11 years ago, when the "real" WZVU 107.1 in Long Branch discontinued their oldies format in favor of a simulcast with country WYNY 107.1 Briarcliff Manor, NY, Anthony forged a CP for 104.7 in Howell and started up a high power pirate station broadcasting oldies from the Howell-area. The "fake" WZVU broadcast something like 3000-watts and was eventually shut down by the FCC and the U.S. Marshalls after causing interference to 104.5 in Philadelphia and 104.9 in Egg Harbor. If memory serves me correct, there was a connection between WRDR and the "fake" WZVU inasmuch as the owner of WRDR alleged that Sal stole the transmission equipment used for 89.7 and used it to broadcast the 104.7 pirate. Anyone know the outcome of this?

As illegal as that was, I still think the late Sal Anthony was a brilliant man for that outrageous scheme. When I last spoke to people close to Sal and the late Ed Beck, I never got to find out the real story behind the equipment being taken from WRLJ. After CNJ stopped the simulcast on 89.7 things, obviously, went downhill. I can only wonder how much longer the pirate would've lasted had not the radio stations in S. Jersey/Philly complained?

How I miss those good old days of 'CNJ....
