LPFM or Translator HD

Can a LPFM or Translator broadcast in HD and have sub channels, or would the small amount of wattage they would be authorized make it un worthwhile. Reason being, with all these new signals popping up in the Philly market, why not add more variety, for special interest groups or organizations that operate in a small area. So far I do not know of a signal anywhere in America doing this.

There's a couple of LPFMs doing HD. One is in California and the other in either North or South Carolina. You might check the Pirate Jim LPFM site that lists all LPFMs. He notates HD if the station is using it.

W275BH 102.9 Lawrence, MA is in HD.. the HD1 is WNNW 800, the HD2 and 3 are two other Costa EAgle stations and the HD 4 is a translator HD sub only talk format

I've encountered two HD translators: 91.9 K220DV/KPBX Grand Coulee and 90.1 K211BP/KRVM Florence, OR. I never got K211BP to lock in HD when I was in Florence, it just blinked. I revisited Grand Coulee back in March and the HD for 91.9 is off now.

Based on screenshots received from fellow HD enthusiasts, 95.7 K239BP/KQAC Corvallis, OR, 92.7 K224DB/KTIS Willmar, MN, and 100.9 KVCB-LP Vacaville, CA all broadcast in HD.
