LPFM Relocation of Transmitter Site.

I am looking for input about successful (granted) "minor modification" applications. The rule is 5.6 km, but I know of at least 1 LPFM that was allowed 8.4 km in one move with good reasoning to the FCC staff. Does anyone know of any other stations that were allowed to do a large move in 1 application?
Thanks in advance,
Guy

Maybe you can look at the app they filed to see if it listed a justification for waiver of the rule.Should be on the FCC site. Normally that would require 2 minor moves as you know.

Hello,

Our station got granted to move more than the 5.6 km limit because we lost our site and were displaced by a commercial station.

You may not feel you have the freedom to share location and station in this open to the public forum. It might be helpful to the writer of the original question if you would at least send a Personal Message with enough information to allow him to look for legal hints on how to approach the FCC based on past actions.

Since the FCC file is available to the public, is there really any reason to not share it for all of us to review?

I think I have it figured out. I am applying for 2nd adjacent displacement waiver, due to being short 1st adjacent to a allocation in Sequim & 3rd adjacent to a KXXO CP. (Not short to the licensed site) I was able to find a decent site with great elevation, out of state owners that support community radio. This is right at 5.7 km which is a minor mod, but centers the transmitter site, just south of the community. It is amazing what you can do using the FCC Database, Google Earth, County Assesors site & the Longley-Rice link someone posted. Guy
