LPFM transmitter

Hello, I’m new to the group. I work with community radio KSJC-LP in Silverton, Colorado. We are a small non profit station in a very remote area high in the San Juan range of the Rockies. With no large cities nearby we do not have many neighbors in the industry to make connections with.
We are currently in need of a new/used FM exciter/transmitter. Rack mount is preferable capable of 200-500 watts to give us a little headroom. If you know of or have anything available in the bone pile please let me know..particularly if you are anywhere physically near the four corners area.

Thanks and I look forward to meeting the group!

-Matt

I can chime in to say I'm glad to see you here. KSJC is from the first window. That's a long hisory of surviving in a community so small. That takes lots of volunteers and support. Would love to know more about KSJC-LP.

Thanks, glad to have folks to bounce ideas off of. We are kind of a rag-tag group of volunteers. I’m the tech guy by default by having a career in audio and video electronics (now retired from that life). I’ve had extensive component level troubleshooting experience so I’m not against repairing the current transmitter (Armstrong FMX-300) but haven’t had any success in finding a service manual.
As a station we are music oriented but being community radio are commercial free. We host a lot of local events to keep people interested but it really is a labor of love…constantly looking for donations!
Thanks for your interest in our station!
