Lubbock KKAM 1340 Question

I'm driving through Lubbock now and I do not hear the Astros' pre-game show or any sign they are switching to the Astros game.

For Lubbock listeners, does KKAM actually air the Astros or do they not air day games and just air night games?

San Antonio's KTKR does not air the Astros' day games, only the night games. Maybe KKAM holds the same policy.

As of 4/4/17, KKAM is on the Astros Radio Network list of affiliates.

Not sure what the Astros require, but the Cardinals used to require affiliates to air the entire game and the programming associated with it. There were no joins in progress. In the event of a double header, you could opt out of airing one game or the other, but, if you only aired one, you had to either exit before the start of the second or join after the end of the first. My station got shafted a couple of times because the board op didn't show. Needless to say, those people weren't employed for long after that!

KKAM's schedule indicates some sports programming can be bumped to KFYO or KKCL 98.1. So, it's possible the game aired on one of those stations instead.
