Lubbock Ratings?

Interesting. If that's the case, it appears they took a chunk out of KONE and not KKCL...judging by the reported 12+ numbers on All Access.

...and a chunk out of KMMX too.

Am I missing something? KLBB isn't listed in the 12+ numbers however, there's ample evidence (to me) that The Eagle is on the rise.

The 'Market Share By Owner' info that is listed shows Ramar up by almost 2 points and Wilks down by almost 4.

On a different note, I see that the Fall '12 book is the first since Fall of '10 where the market share by the 4 largest groups actually increased. Back in the Fall of 2010, the 4 largest radio groups in the market had a combined share of 74 and steadily declined over the next 3 books. This last book their combined share was 65, up from 61.1 last Spring. So any guesses as to where that other 35 to 39 share of the market went?

Curious.

If they aren't an Arbitron subscriber, they aren't listed online...you can only see them if you subscribe and get actual #'s in your hand or on your computer...

all the ramar stations subscribe to arbitron, except KLBB, so i guess they might see numbers for KLBB(below the line) with the books from their other stations, but they can't legally use those numbers or quote them on the street.. tell me if i'm wrong, but that has always been my understanding about how arbitron works. for what its worth, from what i'm reading here, they picked off some points from kone and ramar as a whole was up a couple points as a group so klbb, probably has a 2-3 share 12+...but until these numbers are published we have to rely on the "cred" of who is telling us anything about their numbers, so if you know & trust the source, believe it or not. i do think the station sounds pretty good, and for 6k they have a terriffic city grade signal.

It shouldn't come up below the line I've worked in markets that had subscribed and non-subscribed stations and when you look at say the E-Book or Maximiser, the un-subscribed stations are all in the mix as normal according to ranker...the numbers just aren't "published" for non-subscribers...you only see subscribing stations online. Example, just today I was on All Access looking at recent Arbitron ratings, I can't remember what market I was looking at I think it was Lawton...not a very big town...but it's in the recent ratings section...anyways...I clicked the market and a whopping 2 stations popped up both Town Square stations so TSM is evidently the only Arbitron subscribers there. Again, not a big town, but more than 2 stations...

As far as using the #'s to sell and logistics of it...I think you're correct...but what's to stop anyone from any non-subscribed station out there who maybe just get their hands on a copy of the #'s from using them? Ratings are so hit or miss though when I worked in radio I never put to much weight in them...live by the book...die by the book...Facebook is a more accurate source of ratings lol!

My understanding is the Eagle tied with 98Kool overall and had some big numbers in the breakdowns. For a station thats been on as long as they have, The Eagle seems to be doing really well.

Whats up with Bobby Bones moving to country and where does that leave KZII? without?

i guess eagle's numbers will be some kind of "Urban Legend", like Bigfoot, until they can be published or proven... but if its true that would be Great for them! it would also be great to see Bigfoot and flying saucers... by the way, LOOK FOR BOBBY BONES TO GO TO 99.5

Wowsers! Are you suggesting the BLAKE FM experiment is over in Lubbock?

don't know, but i don't think it would be the end of Blake, just a morning show(that they don't have now).. it is somewhat logical that since Bones is going country, they would move him over to their country station.. by the way i don't see THAT show making it with a country audience, but i guess his "Handlers" do... for me the show is annoying, but i can see an 18-24' top 40 audience liking it, Country?? might be a stretch.
