(Lucky Man) "And Last Sunday When My (BLANK) Lost..."

Is your station playing a "localized" version of the #1 song "Lucky Man" from Montgomery Gentry? The original version I believe has the lyric "And last Sunday when my Bengals lost..." Of course like the country songs before it like "Sweet Southern Comfort" and "I Wanna Do It All" it predictably has the opportunity to add a "local" flavor to that lyric. e.g. In Nashville, the big three are already playing a version with a reference to the "Titans".

"Last Sunday when my COWBOYS lost"
I'm in Dallas.

Yes. At first, I thought this was the original.

Also, with Taylor Swift's "Tim McGraw", there's a line that says
"Every time you turn your radio on, I hope it takes you back to that place..."
Here, each of the stations changed it...
"Every time you turn The Wolf on (prolonged obnoxius howl in the background), I hope...."
and
"Every time you turn The Twister on, I hope....."

Yet another instance of changing lyrics. Excpet this time it's cool.

Some of the Artist, Like Taylor Swift, Montgomery Gentry will make customized versions of the song for taylored marketing of the music and build relationshipd with the Stations. One of the Montgomery Gentry Dou is from Union, KY. The "BENGALS" version os being used on B-105 / WUBE FM & 97-3 "THE WOLF" in Cincinnati, Big and Rich did a custom version of "Comin to your City" using some Cincinnati Content in the song. It's Good Business, Listeners love local content.

I've heard this version on Greensboro's Wolf sans howl...

btw The actual lyrics to "Lucky Man" cites the Bengals. Unless there's another version that's like, "Last Sunday when one of my Bengals got arrested..."

It was said somewhere's where Montgomery Gentry made something like 60 something versions of that one line!!!!

They made for every NFL team, most of the colleges and I think the MLB also

But yeah it's funny in my area.. In New Orleans they play the version for the saints.... Outside of that market in Louisiana it's either the (LSU) tigers lost or the original version....

Is till hate radio edits personally but hey ..what better way to plug your major market station....

Anyone know how I could get a copy of the "Wolf Version" of "Teardrops..."?

For my market, and Yakima's market, it's

Last Sunday when my Seahawks lost

Haven't heard this song at all since moving to Houston, but I'm sure there's a local version for the Texans.
Zac Brown Band's Chicken Fried mentions 93Q (93Q up) towards the end of the song.
Gary Allan's Nothin On but the Radio mentions KILT (KILT and the lights down low)
