He was the man, to be honest with you I totally forgot that he was back on today.. Guess we will have to wait until Monday to hear him again.

hmmm... I know he was big and maybe will be at some point in the future... but right now the "no Mention" says it all... but then again... does this thread count as a "Mention" if so then I guess everything i typed before now was for not... if it doesn't count then, luis jimenez is back on... so how about them Giants...

He started yesterday, and tonight is hosating a listener appreciation concert which is full. Yesterday, police had to intervene when the crowds looking for the free tickets got out of control and stopped traffic.
 
hmmm...big concert that stopped traffic...in a city of 4 million Latinos not such an impressive statement. Luis' opening remarks Thursday morning about how lousy a signal 105.9 has kinda sounds like an early admission he doesn't think he can beat Mega. His new show is good but a big part of his success was due to big WSKQ signal.

David...If the tables were turned around and SBS had made Luis the $5 million announcer on a lesser frequency I wonder what yoyu'd be saying?

It all depends where Hispanics who are Spanish dominant live. The fact is, most live closer to Manhattan and the ESB than is the case for English language general market stations.
 
I HEARD HIS SHOW & I ALSO HAVE BEEN LISTENING HIS FORMER MORNING SHOW
THEY BOTH SOUND A LIKE.
EXCEPT FOR LJ HAS GONE A LTTLE MORE INTERNATIONAL WITH JOKES & THE PLAYING OF THE WORDS
THE SHOW IS MORE LATINO NACIONAL INSTEAD OF BEFORE AS IT WAS MORE TOWARDS THE LATINOS FROM THE CARIBE.
OVERALL IM GLAD TO SEE ANOTHER JOCK GETTING PAID WHAT HE IS WORTH.
