LUKEN COMMUNICATIONS TO MAKE THAT NASHVILLE NETWORK THEIR NEWEST SUB CHANNEL

True. What gets me is that each sub has a few decent shows on it. Why don't they take the
best of the crop and make a Super RTV.......which would be a bit more competitive with Antenna
and Me-TV.

RTV would be better if they got rid of the LET'S GO FISHING and HOW TO USE A SKATEBOARD
type programs.

The problem with all these subchannels is that unless they can somehow get cable carriage, they will be irrelevant and unknown to most TV viewers.

That's the problem, because most of their affiliates are on LPTV which aren't covered under must carry which means no cable carriage at all.

We have the Country Network we don't need another Country Digital Sub Channel and CMT had Crook and Chase and waht we needs is a Pop channel live VH1 Classic or Mega Hits was.

I found that other thread to be more like a party line about TNN than the real story.

TNN will debut this summer as a sub channel from Luken Communications (RTV, PB&J, TUFF TV,
My Family TV, etc.). So if your area currently has a station showing some of these and they have space available you might see it pop up there.

You could have posted that link in the other topic to improve the discussion rather than start another topic.

I didn't read the other topic for days because I'm not that interested in TNN. Then today I found
this link......and figured that's what it was all about. Just clearing it up a bit.

Point is if you are starting a thread about a new McDonalds in front of the Whitehouse, CHICKEN NUGGETS COMING SOON is probably not the best thread title.

I didn't wish to get buried by including in the other party line thread.
THE END

With all the new networks Luken is starting why can't they do anything to fix RTV, or are they pretty much giving up on that?

New programming contracts have been signed and are being signed. Patience...

The way that TNN promo was done, you have to wonder if they plan to resurrect another sorely missed name in sports ..DIAMOND P SPORTS for the return of AMERICAN (dramatic pause) SPORTS (dramatic pause) CAVALCADE !

But could someone answer a question, I thought CBS/Viacom still owned the name and other service marks of TNN and THE NASHVILLE NETWORK, how'd Jim Owens get a hold of it ?????

Diamond P has been owned by Hubbard Broadcasting, and only produced shows for TNN and other networks (maybe even ESPN) -- don't know if Diamond P is still around, and if it is, is still owned by Hubbard or owned by another party.

According to this article, Jim Owens acquired the TNN names and trademarks from Viacom in around 2010-2011:
