Luken diginet disaster

I haven't seem much in the trade press, but a satellite carrying at least some of the Luken digital networks has failed. The Action, Retro & Revn channels were gone from K38LZ from the weekend into Tuesday, when an alternate satellite was found (Retro was frozen on a picture of a red-haired woman). The FAM channel is gone from KPHE. I am told they don't yet have an alternate feed.

The satellite at 83 W that carried the Luken feed failed. Most of the data was transferred over to the satellite at 101 W within 16 hours.

Never noticed. I can not receive 38 in the SE Valley. :(

You shouldn't have any problems with K38IZ Digital - it's a 15 kW station off South Mtn. That's the most an LPTV is allowed to put out.

You'd probably like the videos on 38.3 - they have an eclectic playlist from the 50s through the 90s, and maybe later. A lot of 70s and 80s stuff.

Nope. I can get pixelated signals on one or two of the sub-channels but nothing on 38.3.

38.3 is a strange beast. They'll transition from Great White's "Once Bitten, Twice Shy," into The Bee Gees' "Too Much Heaven." I enjoyed it when it was new and they mostly had '80s videos.

I can only receive the K38IZ-D channels if my indoor antenna is positioned right. After they dropped This TV, there is nothing worth watching on any of their streams anymore. I can't, for the life of me, receive KFPB-LD here using an indoor antenna (and they're supposedly running 15kW too). At least the K38IZ-D channels stream on the "Phoenix BTV" phone app.
