Lulu Y Lala Leaving 'KTU

The sisters made a statement, saying that "This is not a goodbye, but a ‘See you later!’"
They had joined 103.5 in November 2016 after 2 years in Miami and previous work in NYC at WXNY and 92.3 Now.

If they return to New York radio, where can we expect them? WNEW? Z100? Back at WXNY? At SBS' WPAT-FM or WSKQ?

IHeart maybe figured it was too expensive having 2 cohosts on one evening show.
It' s interesting that much of their career had been with Spanish speaking radio stations. There has been discussion on this board that a sizable portion of the WKTU audience is Hispanic.

Much of their career? They started at WXNY which was bilingual in presentation, but have been specifically at 92.3 Now, Hits 97.3 Miami, and KTU for the past 12 years.

OK, the only Hispanic station they worked for was WXNY. But they were there, according to the article for 7 years. That is a considerable period of time.
Was WXNY originally bilingual?

Not much, but when WXNY started out on 96.3, it had a decently sized bilingual audience that moved with them from 105.9's Spanish-language Tropical, maybe leaning CHR format that stayed there since the all Reggaeton days when 105.9 first flipped to La Kalle.

They might still be on WMIA if they aren’t leaving radio.
They haven't been on 939 MIA in years. WMIA has flipped formats at least 4x in 2 years. The station is a no go...when it began, it was "Move to the Music 939 MIA" which was a clone of KTU - sadly, they dropped that format, bounced back and forth with Totally 939, 939MIA, best of 80's to now, 90's to now, they can't land anywhere and have not been successful since. I'm surprised they didn't blow up the format by now all together. Sad to hear about Lulu and Lala ... maybe onto Sirius XM like most former radio DJ's now. LOL

As mentioned by Barry in a post on the NY Ratings-Oct. '23 thread, the replacement for Lulu y Lala is
DJ Prostyle, an iHeart NY mainstay at Power 105.1 and more recently at several iHeart stations in Florida.
"The Pro Show" will air 7 PM-Midnight.
