It’s fascinating to me that by then they had already removed both WDCA/20 and WTTG/5 from DC. Fox had not developed a schedule of any real sort by then so these stations were essentially independents. I’m assuming headend space was limited and lots of new cable channels were popping up in that 5-6 year period.

I do know in the early 80’s both were on Lynchburg cable. It was quite fun for me to go 4-5 hours away to my aunt’s house down there and still watch the same cartoons at the same time from 5 and 20 that I did in Baltimore.
