Lynn Martin

What's the deal with the Lynn Martin stations in Charleston. Seems that WKLC is up one book then down for two and then back up. The Mix station seems to just be there. I listened to Mix recently and was not overly impressed but feel they could imporve if they worked on the music and cleaned up the sound. I was told that Mix was being looked at as a "step child" and the focus was all on WKLC? Sounds resonable but I am on the outside looking in. I also listened to WKLC and it sounded about the same as when I listened to it last year. Those stations will have a hard time knocking off the powerful WV Radio group in the market.

You betcha! Lynn Martin has several stations in Charleston. He has really had lots of turn over through the years and much of it appears to be his business practices. Think somebody mentioned "greed" on the Kentucky boards and that is putting it mildly. LM also has a couple of stations in Charleston, SC and they like most of his other stations are just there.

Charleston, SC does somewhat decent there. The morning show should just go away! The legendary Charlie kendall oversees them with help from Jeff sanders in a consultancy role
