Wow...but wouldn't Lynne be cheaper than Spin. Unless she is going to be doing her Superadio show from here.

That's what I'm thinking Salem.

Did you every think...It's not about saving money...but about getting ratings...

But will paying her more than what they probably were paying Lynne get you more ratings.

Just read this morning that Spinderella lives in Dallas and her dj, Mo Dave, will be doing late nights on 94.5.

I thought that Kelli Simms was going to take over middays for Lynne Haze, she's only been doing for about a month or so now?

I heard that 94.5 is following suit of WMMJ in DC and is going in a younger r&b/old school hip hop direction.

What I heard this morning, it does not sound like it.

It's not happening yet Salem, but I heard it's coming.

Come on Son! Are you serious...Spinderella vs who...You think the same old tired crap is gonna work..need some innovation in the game. Bout damn time we have some freshness in Dallas. If saving money is the idea then automate ...yea that will really work in radio..Syndication...automation...come on...kiss radio good bye if thats the case...Better start thinking about what goes on between the songs...and who can connect the community and bring in those dollars...

Since Lynne Haze has lived here longer than Spin, you would think she would be more connected to this area. No, I don't know how much they are making, but you would have to guess that KSOC would have to pay Spin more than they were paying Lynne to get on the air.

If they're going to be like WMMJ in DC they need to do something with their signal. Otherwise it's would be worthless.

I agree about the signal, but what more can they do? They are already at 100,000 watts.

Unless they filp frequencies with 97.9 then they are stuck.

I went back and listened to Spinderella's show and it just sounds odd that a member of a hip hop group that played a key role in the classic hip hop movement is now sitting up playing not "Grown Folks Music", but "Old Folks Music". Radio One need to rebuild 94.5 around their new big name personality and they need to do it fast!

If 94.5 is going to try and tweak their format like their sister station in DC WMMJ-Majic 102.3, then I don't think they would want to call themselves K-Soul. They would have to drop that a maybe go My 94.5 like their station Charlotte, NC with My 92.7 or go the "Magic/Majic" route like DC & Houston and some of their other markets

I was thinking "94.5 jamz" like the two new stations in Honolulu and Fayetteville

It sounds like 94.5 is going younger while 105.7 is going older. I listened to KRNB this weekend and heard Anita Ward's "Ring My Bell" and The Staple Singers "Let's Do It Again" in regular rotation. Listened to 94.5 last night and heard maybe 2 or 3 songs from the 70's in a hours time.
