Seems like almost everyone here has a story about this guy and they all follow the same common thread. Everybody cries about the current state of this business. Is it any wonder we find it difficult to recruit new talent or keep existing talent when we have people like Lyra and his sidekicks calling the shots far too often? Want the real story on Lyra? Here ya go:
Can't anyone else see that it's obvious that they have an ulterior motive calling for failure? They want to have the whole pie and with the current stockholders that's not possible until it fails. They're all fighting themselves and arguing over the value of route81. The cost involved for them to come out whole is too high. It's not worth what they have invested. If it sinks then they would be happy just to unload it and fast! So in steps Lyra and his henchmen to save the day! Get it now?? ;)

I don't know his official title, but Ira came across as the "henchman" for Tele Media when they bought into radio. It seemed his job was to make the stations operate as cheaply as possible, cutting budgets and staff as much as possible. With this done, the stations looked like a better asset on paper to lure in a big buyer like Citadel. He never had "a piece" of a station until he came here. I can't remember what percentage he had, or what station it was, but he did make good money off the sale. He was excluded from working in markets for "x" number of years and has recently returned to help Route 81 out of their financial woes.

Herman Munster was Tom Sheeley. I don't know what his official title was, but I believe he was acting GM for Tele Media (at least at 97-9). Again another henchman type who liked to use fear to manage others. He was tall, lumbering and had some growth on his neck, like a bolt, thus the Herman Munster reference.
