M.J. verdict (Tucson) coverage

Since it's been announced that a verdict has been reached, the only station in town on it is the local Univision affiliate...with helicopter coverage of the caravan from the ranch to the courtroom. All other stations are sticking with their regular programming...

In Sacramento...

3 KCRA... NBC news feed
6 KVIE... nothing, same old pbs programming
10 KXTV... ABC news feed
13 KOVR... CBS news feed
31 KMAX... CBS news feed (both 13 and 31 were running the same feed)
40 KTXL... nothing, same old syndicated programming
58 KQCA... nothing, same old syndicated programming

In LA..

11 KTTV... Running local coverage
______________

M.J. verdict (Seattle) coverage

4 KOMO... ABC news feed and was a lead story on its 4PM newscast. "General Hospital" will be aired at 3:06AM[June 14th]. BTW they got a lot of reaction at one of the bars at Fisher Plaza, which houses KOMO-4.

5 KING... NBC news feed, will be the lead story on its 5PM newscast.

7 KIRO... CBS news feed, also expected to be the lead story on its "KIRO-7 Eyewitness News" at 5 and 6.

13 KCPQ... "Home Delivery" and "Jerry Springer," but don't be surprised if it become the lead story on its "Q13 Fox News at Ten."

The local Telemundo station (which is operated from Phoenix...the local control room staff had been laid off) is running coverage two hours later as if it is happening now.

Re: M.J. verdict (Jacksonville) coverage

4 WJXT - local, with video from CNN. In fact, WJXT was the first Jacksonville station on the coverage. They showed the entourage on the way to the courthouse in a split screen along with the Oprah show before the courthouse arrival.
12 WTLV - NBC News feed
17 WJWB - nothing, just regular programming (Kids' WB, followed by syndicated programming)
25 WJXX - ABC News feed
30 WAWS - FOX News Channel feed on the 4:30 newscast, then FOX News feed
47 WTEV - CBS News feed

Re: M.J. verdict (Indianapolis) coverage

All Big 4 (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX) affils picked up the network feed, and from what I can tell, at least RTV 6 (ABC) stayed on network feed until the start of their 5 PM News. I would assume that likely means WISH (CBS) and WTHR (NBC) did as well, but I was busy at the time so I didn't get a chance to flip around as much as I'd liked to have.

RTV 6 simulcasted ABC network feed & then resumed local news at 5 PM on their NewsChannel64, but IIRC, WTHR's SkyTrak Weather Network stayed with normal weather programming.

Re: M.J. verdict (Chicago) coverage

ABC was the first I could tell to go to network feed. WLS-TV Channel 7. Then Channel 5 WMAQ-TV came in. Then I saw WBBM-TV Channel 2 CBS came, and WFLD-TV Channel 32 FOX Chicago came in.

Funny thing is WFLD Channel 32 came in and then left coverage for reruns of "Yes Dear." THEN they interruped the five o'clock "Simpsons" for Jackson...

THAT made me mad...

Re: M.J. verdict (Tampa Bay) coverage

All of the "Big 4" affiliates plus the local Univision station ran their network's coverage:
WFLA-8: NBC
WTSP-10: CBS
WFTS-28: ABC
WTVT-13: FOX
WVEA-62: Univision

They all joined the network coverage at about the same time. One interesting note, however, that the only major network anchor that was heading up their coverage was NBC's Brian Williams. Didn't notice either Scheiffer or Jennings coming on early. And that at NBC and MSNBC carried the same coverage with Williams for a time; the only difference was in the screen graphics which remained channel specific.

Bay News 9, the Bright House Networks exclusive local cable news channel, ran CNN's feed.

And WUSF-16, one of Tampa Bay's two PBS stations, carried BBC World's coverage.

Everyone else was simply carrying regular programming
______________
