M.N. "Buddy" Bostick obit

Texas broadcast pioneer Mr. M.N. "Buddy" Bostick passed away January 4 at the age of 98. For 50 years, Buddy was the guiding force behind several radio and TV stations, including KWTX-AM, FM and TV (Waco), KBTX-TV (Bryan/College Station), KXII-TV (Sherman/Denison), KNAL radio (Victoria) and KLFY-TV (Lafayette, Louisiana). In 1975, Mr. Bostick gave me -- a young broadcasting novice -- the opportunity of a lifetime to spin records and talk on the radio at KWTX-AM and FM. Buddy was honored with the Pioneer of the Year award by the Texas Association of Broadcasters in 1996. Here's a link to his obituary in the Waco Tribune-Herald: http://www.wacotrib.com/obituaries/...cle_bcc3a2ac-7918-5378-bf21-aff604f7cbce.html.
