M105 studio 1975?

Hi All,

Where was 105.7 M105's studio located in 1975? I remember it being a weird but cool looking "fish bowl" on the lower level of some building downtown, that also had retail shops and a food court. I'm thinking Galleria, but I don't think the Galleria was there in 1975? I was going to Tri-C at the time, and would sometimes go to that food court to eat. I remember it being around E 9 or E 12?

Thanks much.

How about Reserve Square, or whatever it is called today? WWWM studios were in the basement; WWWE had its studios on a upper floor in the area where Channel 19 is today, I think.

The place at the time was called Park Centre. And yes, M105 was in what they called a cave studio. I thinl that was the nicest thing said about it.

Jack Fitzgerald was kind enough to give me a tour of the facilities of both M105 and 3WE and even introduced me to Pete Franklin. This was a Saturday morning, when Pete had a Saturday Sportsline.

Thanks much, that Park Centre/Reserve Square now jogs my memory. I can probably count on both hands how many times I been downtown since those days when I went to Tri-C.

It's twoo... the M105 studios were in the basement of 1250 Superior (occupying the block bordered by E12, E13, Chester, and Superior). The building was then known as Park Centre.... later as The Park... and now Reserve Square. The studios went in circa 1973 with WWWE and most of the offices on the 2nd Floor with M105's studios being in the "mini-mall" in the basement. The basic idea at the time was Park Centre had everything under one roof.... living, shopping, movie theatres, etc. Never quite panned out that way. WWWE was in that building (along with WDOK after both were acquired by Combined Communications) until 1990. That place was a cave... no windows except for a couple of offices along 12th Street. I think the ventilation system drew fresh air directly from the parking garage. The roof leaked, and by the mid 80's the carpeting was more duct tape than carpet.
