Inside Radio reports a new partnership of seasoned radio guys to buy the five Milner stations in Kankakee. Tim Milner will have 2% of the new operation in the end. Can't speak about brother Mickey...who is arguably the heart and soul of that entire operation.
Mom is really getting up in years and maybe was growing increasingly weary of coming into the stations her late-husband use to own/operate. Price not yet disclosed and is a formula based on trailing cash flow exclusively.
I spent some time there more than 5 years ago. And truth be told, they need to re-imagine the cluster in a new streamlined facility. That old house and addition is really ready for the wrecking ball. And in some ways is a fire trap. Tim was wanton to move from there however.... They have room to build a new place on the property behind the existing operation and was repeatedly discussed.
