Mac & Gaydos no more

This is good news! Chad is a lot better than Mac and he will complement Gaydos well in my opinion.
I think the best part of all is we get back Arizona’s Evening News at 6:00 PM (an hour of all news, traffic and weather), something that has been missing in this market for a few years. My question is this: who takes over at 7:00 PM? Please don’t let it be Dave Ramsey!

I agree that Benson is a better host, and when he was filling in with Gaydos they had a really good chemistry, but I worry that if he's given free rein it will wind up being "MAGA and Gaydos" in the afternoon. While I thought Mac and Gaydos were knuckleheads, they weren't wall to wall national politics. I have a bad feeling that's going to change.
As for what happens after 7, is it possible that they'll just run Benson's syndicated show?
Will Benson still be doing his nationally syndicated show if he is doing 4 hours a day of live and local with Gaydos? That's possible for sure, but I was hoping there would be another live and local host at 7:00 P.M. Wishful thinking I guess!
The Nurse and I'd take that over another three hours of Ramsey. Benson is good...in fact, gooder than Gaydos!

I'd rather hear Handel On The Law or the Clark Howard show, rather than any more "Best of" shows or Dave Ramsey Infomercials.
I would agree with that. I like Bill Handel and in the mornings this time of year, I occasionally listen to him on the drive in to work since KFI AM 640 sticks around to well after 9:00 AM on skywave. I also like Tim Conway Jr. in the evenings on KFI when KTAR is no longer live after 7:00 PM. I did that on Tuesday after the Iran missile strike. It’s bad that I have to listen to other markets radio stations to hear live and local programming with breaking news updates.
