Mac software Ideas

Hi all:
I teach broadcasting at a small NH college. We've purchased the Backbone software package which requires Macs.
What I'm looking for is cart replacement software that runs on a Mac.
It must be very simple to use as new students will be using it, and it must be low or no cost.
Something like Stinger or Sonicart only for Macs.
Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you.
