Lou Epton, etc....if he, Farkland, is so hot wouldn't the ad revenue he would bring in cover his pay etc.? educate me.....you kxnt peaopl don't have to use your real names...except for JD, who does anyway

Wow, a fill in "jock" who does not have a full time gig and Dirty....a wanna be who probably never worked in radio. Don't you two have anything better to do. I liked the Best of LV Radio thread that was up here recently. Why not comment on the Good things in LV radio, they are out there.

Yep, a fill-in "On-Air Talk Pro" on KLIF-Dallas, WMAL-Washington DC, WSB-Atlanta, and both KMBZ & KCMO-Kansas City. And a fill-in "On-Air Jock" for Kool Dan Arthur, (who joined the ARMY Reserve) on PM Drive at KOOL 93.1 for the entire 2005 October/November Book. And double-booked next week filling in for Monk & Kelley on Mornings on KOOL, and then PM Drive on KMBZ-Kansas City.

Isn't it strange that Major Market Talk PD's want me on their stations and Las Vegas Talk PD's don't? Crazy, huh?

How do you know smart guy? (It's gotta be Christmas...Me defending drtylawndre. Sheesh!)

Oh yeah....I'm remembering all the nice things you've said about my work here. Trouble is, all my work is backed up with numbers. All your work is backed up with....Your mouth. Seriously, what proof of performance do you have there genius?

By the way, I do say nice things about Las Vegas radio....Whenever they're due. For example...

Sincere Congratulations to KXNT on a flat KILLER trend! Also, SUNNY 106.5....back to the top where that All-Star crew belongs....

Here is the deal with Jay - he is GREAT but not what the PD at KXNT is looking for - he goes his own way and is headed to Dallas where former KXNT Program Director Gavin Spittle happens to be..... Gavin was the first one to notice Jay's talent. He is great at relating to an audience and is head is small enough to fit through the door - unlike other KXNT "talent"

What other KXNT talent? The station is almost all syndicated. Even if Jay was exactly what the PD is looking for, Does KXNT even have the budget for another live and local show? Then again, if you look at the latest trend, KXNT can get away with tape delayed syndication (due in part to the weakness of the other talk stations), although I think KXNT would be all the stronger with another local show or two.

1280 has some better people for the syndicated crap--a lot of it is not taped I think....... Jerry Doyle should do a local hour or two in the morning drive...he might disrupt stock/harris

1280 does have some decent syndication, but they have yet to show up in the ratings at all. To become a player they need to do some kind of advertising and promotion, to let people know they are out there. Also, adding a local show (such as JDW) would help them.

Another option for that signal to pull some ratings is to simulcast 104.7 KJUL. The standards audience will listen to music on AM. In Denver, there is currently an AM standards station in the top 10 12+. Obviously it's all upper demos, but that's better than having no listeners at all.

When are you on WMAL next? KLIF next? WSB next? KCMO next?

They just don't know you yet, JD.

What numbers? You haven't held a job long enough to get numbers!

Nice "slap" at KXNT. You looking for at Sunny job next? You know, when your "fill-in" term expires.

Just a (successful) working stiff's observations.

Re: Radiojerker

"When are you on WMAL next? KLIF next? WSB next? KCMO next?"---radioworker

And your On-Air next/last Major-Market assignment is/was....?

"They just don't know you yet, JD."---radioworker

They will....But they're never, ever going to know you. The New Radio will demand talent, guts, and committment....much more than just an angry, mindless "Radio Worker" running someone else's show.

"What numbers? You haven't held a job long enough to get
numbers!"---radioworker

And your last ratings were....? Where....? In what daypart....?

"Nice "slap" at KXNT. You looking for at Sunny job next? You
know, when your "fill-in" term expires."---radioworker

Do you see how poisoned your thought-process is? I don't take "slaps" at KXNT, I simply tell the truth. Today's truth is; the only radio station that truly matters in this town just had a fabulous trend, and I said so. To crap on their achievement would make me....you!

As for SUNNY, for over a decade, Tom Chase has had Melanie, Michael Neal, and John Berry....The greatest, best sounding, most winning Las Vegas airstaff in history. Why would they need me?

(I'll bet it kills you to see someone saying nice things about real pros, doesn't it? Come to think of it, how about reposting the last nice thing you said here about any On-Air Broadcast Professional.)

"Just a (successful) working stiff's observations."---radioworker

No....Just another stiff, nasty diatribe....decorated with evasions of truth and reality, a consistent refusal to think logically, and a flaming hatred of honest On-Air Broadcasters who actually make a real difference to this community. All happening while you bitterly, (and anonomously) chase a pointless paycheck, and push a poisoned pen. Ask yourself Ebenezer....When was the last time any of your work mattered to anyone besides you, and your banker?

Loserguy1, the difference between Eagles and Penguins is the view, and the perspective it brings....

How's it looking down there, stumpy?

Get a Clue and then maybe a Regular gig....at McDonalds.

Oops! That was embarrassing! I guess I'm having trouble telling one anonymous flaming jerk from another.

Do you need some help!?!

"Truthful Broadcaster Voice Guy 1"

Just curious, where did you last broadcast from? You know, Live On-Air?

If you're trying not to be laughed at by using an alias, you're losing.
