Macon's WPGA-TV sliding further into obscurity

Shame on Cox. He is a local channel. Even if he is broadcasting Gilligan's Island,
he should be carried. They are messing with him and they know it.

What a horrible argument that "2-13 must have all Big Four networks". 15 is ABC here and nobody cares...oh, and it's a Cox system.

He can't have it both ways. Either he gets "retransmission consent" or he gets "must carry" on Cox. He chose retrans so now he must face the consequences. The law is clear on this and Cox has the law on their side. He'll make lots of noise on this issue but apparently Cox has a signed document from him or his representative indicating he elected retrans. Eventually, I still think they'll carry him elsewhere on a higher channel position. They carry the LPTV WRWR Warner Robins so I think this will help his cause.

Lowell Register: "“I have a feeling Cox will not drop us. We’re going to use all of the resources we have..."

Unfortunately, common sense isn't one of them... :-X

So true. And besides anyone that drops a big-three network, (especially a Number 1 rated big-three network) for reasons so archaic to modern time shouldn't be in television anymore anyway.

However, does WRWR pay Cox to be carried? Most often, unless they're part of a retrans or must-carry deal with a full-powered station, LPTVs of any class must pay the cable system for carriage.
