Macy’s 4th of July started late

Starting at 8pm, NBC ran a bunch of promos all in a row, then cut into a repeat of America’s Got Talent. Then they went to a commercial break and finally started the 4th of July spectacular. They did not acknowledge this on the air. What could have happened?

Oh is that what that was? I thought NBC had resurrected The Gong Show. 🤣

One would think they would have had 2 or more links. It's not like the site was remote in the backwoods. They could have have a local newsvan at the site in addition to whatever "wired" connection they use. I would hope the Network would be able to access to WNBC's remote equipment with a little bit of planning.
