Mad Dog cuts programming

recently I became a big fan for Mad Dog sports radio on SiriusXM . great host less commercials. But when the SiriusXM cut staff they stopped live programing from 1am to 3am on weekdays and weekends they stop live shows at 8pm. It really sucks to not have a Mad dog alternative weekends after 8pm
 
I guess it doesn't matter anymore. Russo said he'd retire "on the spot" if the Diamondbacks beat the Phillies in Game 7 of the NLCS.

Michael Kay seemed to imply that Mad Dog will be getting a bigger role at ESPN soon. So was this retirement planned all along.
