Nah! He's a great man, after all he helped developed the A-bomb.

I have worked with Dr. Bill as a newsperson on KGO. Yes his viewpoint is different however he is a good bridge between the views on KGO and those views on KSFO. I am not saying he is in the middle, he just has his own stong opinions.

During the tax season I reported on a story about the Cheneys and how much money they earned. Dr. Bill jumped on me (on the air) after the newscast to ask why the writers have not come up with the story about how the Cheneys have donated thousands of dollars to chairity. We checked all the wire services and other sources and could not find that story.

During the time of the ABC-TV docu-drama, Dr. Bill stated that he knows and respects President Clinton. He just has his own opinions seperate from KGO and KSFO. However he is wrong in attacking the news on KGO as being biased. Whenever I deliver the news on KGO (or any other newsperson) it is always straight forward, although it may be topical to the subject of the talk show it is not not slanted.

During Karel's show he was talking about President Bush's position against gay marriage. My lead story was about the president's position. I delivered the news story straight and the story sounded so contrary to the postion of the talk show host because the news is factual and the talk shows are opinions.

Different opinions and factual news can be a great combination of compelling radio.

How about hearing some other opinions of Dr. Bill and Karel?

Newsperson.
