Catch Steph and Jim this morning live from Madison - what a great welcome and they are really fired up.

http://www.madison.com/tct/opinion/index.php?ntid=84346&ntpid=1 Editorial: Miller vs. SatanA Cap Times editorial, May 18, 2006 Fans of radio personality Stephanie Miller, whose nationally syndicated morning show airs on the local Air America affiliate at 92.1 FM, are expected to pack the Barrymore Theatre for a live broadcast of her show at 8 a.m. Friday. After Fox blowhard-in-chief Bill O'Reilly dismissed the citizens of our fair city as Satanists, the general reaction of Madisonians was to breathe a sigh of relief because O'Reilly had neglected to call in a terrorist strike as he did against San Francisco. ...[Click link above for the complete newspaper article.]

Note - I believe the WSJ article is slightly incorrect, I believe SM airs on a AAR affiliate, but isn't a AAR talk show host.http://www.madison.com/wsj/home/entertainment/index.php?ntid=83747&ntpid=1 FRI., MAY 12, 2006 - 9:06 PMLeaning to the left:Liberal radio host Stephanie Miller wins over listeners with her sharp-witted spinMARY ANN SWISSLERFor the State [email protected]f you goWhat: "Stephanie Miller Show," airing live on "The Mic" 92.1 FM.When: 8-11 a.m. FridayWhere: Barrymore Theatre, 2090 Atwood Ave.Tickets: Free. Any station that takes ANY programming associated with AAR is claimed as an "affiliate" - even those stations which only take programs not included on the regular network feed (Thom Hartmann) or which the station takes directly from Clear Channel (Jerry Springer).I notice last week the Madison paper did an article on an appearance by Stephanie Miller in town and referred to her as an "Air America" host. Just sloppy reporting. The local station does not (as do some) use "Air America Radio" in their brand imaging (they call themselves "The Mic - Madison's Progressive Talk"), which is appropriate since the station goes local in morning drive and takes Steph and Big Ed live instead of the AAR feed.
