WISC's cable/DT offshoot, UPN 14, will join NewsCorp's new MY Network TV this fall. Here's the story straight from the source. This leave's WBUW/57 as the CW Network's likely affiliate option in Southern Wisconsin (though I don't believe there's anything official with that just yet).

Also in La Crosse...

WISC's sister station in La Crosse, WKBT, will follow suit with their own UPN-affiliated subchannel.

Which has ramifications in Green Bay as both WBUW and WIWB-Green Bay are owned by Jamie Kellner's Acme Communications. One might think they've got an inside track on CW affiliations, but WIWB is well behind WACY as far as non-digital signal strength in the Green Bay-Appleton area.

WIWB/WBUW Officially to CW

Perhaps Acme did have some sort of inside track. It was made official today that Acme's 7 WB stations nationwide will join CW in September. This will include WBUW and (despite the above mentioned signal situation) WIWB.
