Madonna - Girls Gone Wild

Has any CHR/Pop station played thhis song? I was surprised to hear this song on CHR/Pop station WFAV via DX. I don't know what people listen to in the Kankakee/Watseka areas of Illinois (where this station targets), but I have not heard it on WKSC-FM in Chicago, & I doubt I ever will. While I'm a fan of Madonna's older stuff from the 80's & 90's, but I can't possibly see her charting in CHR/Pop today. In fact, I don't remember anything from the Confession On A Dance Floor album on the CHR/Pop stations, but did on Hot AC. With this album having a heavy dance beat, I would believe if any song charted, that it would be on the dance charts.

I have not heard this on the radio yet here in Grand Rapids - not sure if I ever will.

I've always been a big Madonna fan and currently own all her studio albums from Like a Prayer through MDNA. MDNA is a pretty good album, and I like "Girl Gone Wild" (note that the title is "Girl [singular] Gone Wild" not "Girls [plural] Gone Wild"]. 'Tis a very catchy song, and I'd love to hear it on the radio, but I also don't think Madonna's current music has much appeal with most CHR listeners.

Pretty much the only people who seem to like Madonna's current music are gay men, and just about the only places where you'll hear it are at gay clubs. LOL

The song peaked at #40 couple of weeks ago and today I can't find any CHRs listed on allaccess that are still spinning it. There weren't many originally. It wasn't given the push on the CC stations that GMAYL was given.

Madonna doesn't fit on CHR anymore, and the ACs & HACs don't touch her new stuff either. Maybe she needs to do a duet with Pitbull to become relevant again.
