Magic 100 DJs

I see that Chris McCoy and Debbie Mazella are going to be on the new Magic 100.1 at the same time they are on 98.3. Are they going to voicetrack from the New Brunswick studio or will 100.1 simulcast 98.3 when they're on?

I've removed 98.3 from my presets since the Christmas music stopped (well, technically all my presets are 87.7 since I replaced my car battery, but I don't plan to put 98.3 back on there)

its magic!!!!! they can be in 2 places at one time............oh and mr finn said in the asbury park press it was not a cost cutting thing hummmmm why is everything voice tracked? plenty of magic on the way... smoke and mirrors to me

What DJ's? You mean computers who don't answer phones. It's pretty sad when all the phones at the stations are busyed out to fool you that the DJ is on the phone and there's no one there. Live personality DJ's were people who made radio fun to listen too. You can't compare anyone on Magic stations to talent like the late George Michael for example. Todays meaning of DJ's are voice tracked robuts that read what corporate wants them to read with no personality in a timed segment. As far as the New WJRZ it will last maybe 6 months (my opinion) I heard the station while in the area visiting friends last weekend and it was boring just like WMGQ and all the Greater Media Magic stations. Jeff, Dan and whom, poor decision. But hey your radio people and you know what your doing... LOL It's all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ :'(

Well yeah it is about $$$$. How much do you think that any radio stations in NJ are really making? There is a reason there are a dozen or so NJ radio stations for sale now they aren't making any money. Other than us radio geeks who at home really knows, or cares, that there isn't really someone live at the other end?
I do miss the old WJRZ already listened to it the fitst day for a bit and it wasn't for me.

Is Chris McCoy the old Mike Sebring from WSLT 1520 Memory Radio at the Jersey Shore in the early 70's....

I should hope they DONT compare to someone like George Michael. Two TOTALLY different kinds of radio stations.

G Michael was on a top 40 teen-age mass appeal radio station, with huge cume and a TSL of about 10 seconds. ;-) AC stations usually have lower cumes, and try to stretch the TSL as lonnnnnng as they can. Thats why a lot of them (like WLTW) are like wallpaper. Some of the DJ's are that way too. Just visible enough to get the job done, but not intrusive at all. And that's by design. I should hope that no one on Magic is trying to compare himself to George Michael!
