How did WMGK sound like back when it was Magic 102.9 in the 80s? Did it have a soft AC sound like Sunny 104.5? And is it true that they shared the same playlist with Magic 98.3, so both stations played the songs in the same order?
It was true in the '70s that WMGK's playlist was exactly repeated on WMGQ a week later. Music sets were on numbered cards and those numbers were assembled for WMGQ and the other stations in the syndication chain. By the '80s, WMGK still fed music selections to WMGQ, but someone in New Jersey assembled the on-air playlist.
