Magic 106.3 Moving ?? Or Just A Rumor ??

Some time ago there was talk going round about Magic 106.3 ( WBOP ) changing frequencies to 106.1 and moving closer to Charlottesville . This would give them a piece of the Charlottesville radio market and it was also going to open a door for the 106.3 frequency to be assigned to Marlington, West Virginia . There was even an article printed in one of the local papers about this . I have not heard anymore disscussion concerning this since that time . Does anyone have any new information regarding this ?? or is this just another radio rumor ?? Magic 106.3 is now owned by Vox Communications Group who also has WSIG and WZXI in the valley .
 
It would appear that noboby knows the story behind this OR either they are not talking about it !!!.....
 
No...they are indeed moving. The FCC approved the change to the table of alottments. Now, Vox needs to get the CP approved.

Check the FCC's FM Query. It shows a 60 dBu contour based on Carter's mountain...pretty good coverage for a class A.

The thing I couldn't tell you is when they will make the move to C'ville...
