Magic 93.. Continuous.. Montinous

I had to laugh tonight as I thought the DJ on Magic 93 was using the Scrolling text on the new radio tuners to make a statement... Unfortunately, as I was driving and glanced over at the scrolling test, I misread and misunderstood what was being displayed. Seems that sometimes the last letter of the text line comes up as the first letter of the next entry.So when "Keep it... Coming... Love" by KC and the Sunshine band scrolled... the "C" in Coming displayed for a second with "love" making it "CLOVE"... at the same time when it scrolled "Magic 93"..... "Continuous" .. "Music" the "M" from Magic carried over to show "Monitinous" .. "Music"... not seeing the error in spelling, for a moment, I though someone had either hacked the scroll function or the DJ was making a brief statement and scrolling "Monotonous"... "Music".

Kind of reminds me of a time I was down the NJ shore in 80's. There was a LED sign on the side of one of the buildings along the boardwalk that was looping 2 messages:

"COKE IS IT!"

and

"STOP AND SHOP!"

When the message changed, the letters would change quickly from left to right. At one point, though, the sign, in the middle of changing messages, froze for a second or two, so that it read:

"STOP AND SH*T!"

That reminds me of the time somebody at the DQ across from Mohegan Sun in W-B left a letter off the sign out front to read
"NOW HIRING--ALL SH*TS"
I have a sneaking suspicion it was intentional.
Maybe the Magic jock meant to say it was MOUNTAINOUS
