Magic 97.3 and Magic 107.1

Why we have 2 FM Clear Channel Radio from Albany Ga and Tallahassee both has the same logo of Magic and same soft AC. I know Albany and Tallahassee has the same singal to reach but I have no clue which one is a better station but they do play the same music...

Good question. This is Clear Channel, after all. This is the company that wants to be the "McDonald's" of radio. For every station named "Magic", "Mix", or "KISS-FM", you have your Big Mac's, Quarter Pounder's, and Filet O'Fishes. It's no wonder why CC is sometimes referred as to "McRadio", totally pre-packaged.

I think you answered your own question. While us radio geeks realize that there is a good deal of overlap between these two stations and are aware that the cities of license are Bainbridge and Thomasville, average listeners only hear Albany and Tallahassee. While Bainbridge, Pelham, Cairo, and Thomasville can receive both stations clearly, Albany can barely hear 107.1 and 97.3's signal does not penetrate buildings well in Tallahassee.

Also, 97.3 has used the Magic slogan in the past, when they were an AC station back in the 90's as WMGR-FM.
