WMGQ went all-Christmas today morning. Now, there are no AC stations in my area, since they all are playing Christmas music.<P ID="signature">______________

"94.3 The Point" (WJLK-FM Asbury Park) is about as close as you can get. Technically they're a Hot AC station, but their music is usually a lot more mellow and AC-ish than WPLJ.

What about The Breeze? And, although I cannot get it here, is WFPG all Christmas too? What about WJBR? WLEV? WSJO?

I THINK WFPG is All Christmas, unless its a little shortl lived for the weekend. Which I imagine is possible. Because Wednesday night after their site promoted it to be all Christmas I heard some regular songs mixed in about every other song or so.

And to reply to the post about WJLK they are apperantly only doing it for the weekend. WOBM is in the same suite. I THINK The Breeze made the switch, it sounds that way but I cant say if thats for sure, i just haven't heard anything else on there all this weekend. I guess tomorrow morning is the true test for a lot of these stations.

As of right now...1pm on Monday, The Breeze is airing it's usual format with the occasional Holiday Tune mixed in on the average of 2 or 3 an hour. Thank God for their webstream or else we would be totally screwed here at my job with CD's over and over again for more than a month!

In this corporate based cookie cutter world of radio these days what else would you expect. the All Christmas music is great for a one or two weeks total during the holiday season but come some stations now start playing All Christmas music in November. just a tad excessive don't you think?
